If you click that, you'll be taken to a screen where you again enter the same login info (account name, password, name of toon) and then it will allow you to add an access key. So once you have an access key from Steam, it seems you can enter it there... no need to log into NCSoft.com apparently. |

a comma would been real nice back there "but I stopped playing Guild Wars, 2 years ago." LOL NICE! Ok so now my question is are you guys familiar with OffGamers and those sites where y ou can buy WoW Gold, Power LVL, and in this case GW Cd-Key. So are these sites safe, specifically OffGamers Thanks EDIT: So if I get Eye of the North - then I will only be able to use Heroes from EotN and not the ones that I unlocked during my NF trial, correct? and EotN has A/Rt/P/Derv Heroes also right Last edited by rody2k6; Jan 22, 2011 at 06:36 PM // 18:36.. |

Personally I wouldn't touch those sites with a ten-foot barge pole. I either want an email from NCSoft with my code where they have a record they sold it to me. Or I want the key-card in my hands in a safe place where I know that if anything goes wrong I can scan that and say "look, mine!" and things get fixed.
Gold-trading is a shady business. I don't see why I should give shady businesses my custom. But hey, if that's the sort of thing you're comfortable with, go nuts \o/. Just don't expect much/any support from NCSoft if you get caught in any crossfire. --------- If you get EoTN, yes, you can only use those heroes, not the ones from your trial NF account. You can pick up a rit, para, derv, and 'sin heroes. But in the case of NF, if you don't have that, then the skill selection available will be very limited for the Derv + Para hero. You can make a usable skillbar, sure. But if you want to be truly effective then either leave those two heroes at home or pick up NF for cheap somewhere. |

so yeah Ritualist,Assassin,Dervish and Paragon heroes on EotN would be VERY limited unless the skills they need for such build are available in EotN. I think I will buy EotN from Newegg, then we'll go on from there |

I think EotN has been my favorite part. I kind of struggled through the end of Prophecies (I was finding the Crystal Desert very boring and monotonous) and someone here suggested that I load up my EotN and snag a few heroes to help me along. What ended up happening was that I began playing around in EotN and it just sort of kick-started my interest in the entire universe. I went back and breezed through finishing Prophecies so I could gain access to the War in Kryta content and then finished EotN. Now I'm working on Factions & Nightfall (almost done with Nightfall) and I am still constantly ducking back into the EotN areas and contents and playing around there. I just really love it! |

One thing I did though - When you go into another chapter with a toon from a different one (like Prophecies toon into Nightfall & Factions) you're not required to do the first couple of missions. The Wiki shows you where a non-native toon enters the storyline. I backtracked and did the first ones. You actually "have to" if you're going to get the Protector titles for Cantha & Elona on a Tyrian account. Plus, I felt like I didn't want to lose track of the storyline or lore, and I didn't know how much impact those missions would have on my understanding of it if I skipped them. It's not like they're hard... a toon that has finished another campaign is pretty much going to just roll right through the first few missions in a new campaign, since they're designed for low-level/new toons. I'm actually really looking forward to doing them again in hard mode once I finish Factions & Nightfall... I think it will be kind of neat to get to do them again with a little bit of challenge to them, you know? One thing to keep in mind is that, while you'll be able to do everything listed on the two pages I linked to... there ARE a few early starter quests (not missions, but quests) you won't be able to complete as a non-native toon. They're not really necessary to the storyline and obviously not required to progress... but if it's important to you personally to experience them, then you could start a new toon in those campaigns and just play through to the point where non-native toons are able to join the storyline. But honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. |

By the way... it's probably worth mentioning that Factions & Nightfall aren't set up like Prophecies. They don't have the same kind of "pre-searing" area that we went through in Prophecies. I'm really glad I started playing GW in Prophecies, because I'd have felt kind of cheated if I'd started with Nightfall or Factions and realized I couldn't take my familiar/beloved toon in to that portion of Prophecies. Factions & Nightfall don't have that kind of "training ground" - they DO have their own version, but it's not utterly cut off from everything else the same way pre-searing Ascalon is.
